I am Scott Johnston owner of The Wood Extension, a full custom furniture studio. As a custom furniture maker I design and build original and unique custom furniture,
serving the greater Washington DC area.
I hand craft, my Washington DC clientele custom furniture projects, using old and new skilled techniques fabricating custom furniture styles from old world to contemporary in mediums of wood, metal, stone, glass and ornamentation. Balancing a line, shape and form from conceptual designs to drawings, materials are then hand selected for color and texture; and hand finishing is done to bring forth their natural characteristics and luster for a unique visual perspective.
