I'm Scott Johnston owner of The Wood Extension, a full custom furniture studio that designs and builds original and unique custom made furniture, for Los Angeles.

The Wood Extension creates one commissioned furniture piece at a time, bringing a clients vision into focus.
I hand craft, my Los Angeles clientele custom made furniture projects, using old and new skilled techniques, styles from old world to contemporary in mediums of wood, metal, stone, glass and ornamentation. Balancing the line, shape and form from conceptual designs to drawings, materials are then hand selected for color, grain and texture; and hand finishing is done to bring forth their natural characteristics and luster for a unique visual perspective.
